I found it reassuring that others had this happen through sheer use, but I think the burnished beater should have been the original one issued. I was leery from the first of putting the original into the dishwasher, but now I won't be putting any of my attachments into the dishwasher! I should close by saying that the company sent the part IMMEDIATELY and it arrived in perfect condition. The coating started coming off and last thanksgiving it discolored the batter for my cheesecake and cakes. Final straw as the saying goes. I went right to Amazon and bought the burnished aluminum beater, and I'm much more pleased with it. I've used the industrial size mixer with the burnished attachments before, so it was a surprise that kitchenaids home product would ship with such an inferior quality piece. BUT... I LOVE THE NEW ONE!!! |
